Sport Fury

Jason and Debby Bauck

Barry and Kathy Beck

Jason's dad, Herb, restored this beautiful specimen of a '59 Sport Fury. Herb bought his first '59 Sport Fury from his good friend, Ed Ober, when Ed sold it because his family was growing (read Ed's story here). Alas, a vehicle rounding the corner in Oaklyn, NJ carelessly plowed into the rear of that car as it sat on the street, riding up on the bumper and totally destroying it.

Even after he moved to St. Petersburg, FL Herb never lost his love for the '59 Sport Fury. In the early nineties he located one in Arizona, bought it and had it shipped to Florida where he commenced the restoration. In a couple of years he completed it, and went on to win several awards, including the 1940-59 "Best of Show" at the Don Garlits Museum of Classic Cars several years back.

Herb died 3 years ago, and left the car to his son Jason (of Vineland, NJ). Only recently has Jason had the opportunity to go to Florida to pick up the car, where it has been in storage until now. Jason added his own custom touch -- wire wheels with gold plated caps, since he specializes in gold plating. Contact Jason if you are interested in gold plated parts -- 609-923-6341 (business card below), or by email.

Oh, by the way -- the car is not for sale. Herb's grandson Christopher (in the car seat) is next in line!
