This beautiful specimen belongs to Barry and Kathy Beck,
both retired state troopers. Barry writes: "Here is a picture of the
'59 taken in December of 2001....The '59 was purchased about 9 years ago from
New York State. I had a '65 red Fury convertible, but wanted a 'fin' car.
So, the '65 was sold and the '59 purchased. By the way, we own 2 more Furys
- a '67 Fury III convertible, and '78 Fury 440 (unmarked) police car."
Kathy says, "As you can see, we are 'used' frequently
for parades, and the fin car is always a big hit. We've been in the Miss America
parade down the boardwalk for the last 7 years or so (except for 2001 of course,
when the parade was cancelled) -- one of the shots was taken in the lot as
we awaited dusk and the start of the parade."
